"The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see"
- G. K. Chesterton
A train journey takes you from one place to another, but how often do we actually see what passes in between ?
A couch washed up on pebbled shores, a flight of birds or a back yard can evoke a variety of emotions and thoughts.
This particular journey took place over a week, it was not a particularly happy journey, but one I had to take twice a day. I had for years looked out these windows but this was the first time I actually saw past the obvious.
I love train travel as it allows one to get lost in the view, moving slightly with the sway of the train and catching "moments" that are gone in seconds.
The full journey is on my webpage - Projects .. From a Train.
Enjoy
