"I would rather see the world from a different angle"

- Anon -

The simplest thing can look so different when seem from various angles. It can change the focus, tone and mood. Even the subject itself can be unrecognisable. How often have we seen aerial photographs of rivers and streams which look like snakes winding their way through the grass or like veins in a leaf. It can make the ordinary, extraordinary and all because we changed the view point, revealing shapes and patterns previously un-noticed.

For years I tended to take photographs from the same angle, generally straight on. Recently, I was set a challenge to take photograph of the same subject from from various different view points. The results were so diverse and each had an individual personality. I was sold and I now approach all subjects with this idea in mind.

The image below is one of the original photographs taken for this challenge and I just love the mood, colours and sense of movement from the tulips which seem to be dancing in all various directions.
